Hello friends! My new CD is officially released and is now available right here on my site! Just click the MUSIC tab. You can listen to the new tracks and buy the CD right from my distributor, CDBaby. I hope you all enjoy the new record. I had a blast making it. I made it for you.
So as you can tell, I'm a little bit excited to announce that I've finished my new CD. I was originally going to release an EP, then it was going to be a new project/band altogether. Well, after much work, I'm so proud to announce what I believe is my best work, ever. My new CD, Ghosts. It's 14 songs. Songs about heartache, songs about love, winning, losing, ordinary life, extra-ordinary life. Songs about being pissed off. Songs about being completely happy. Songs about missing those that have gone somewhere other than where we are. Yes, some songs about, ghosts.
It is my sincerest hope that this new music of mine will be your companion on long trips, a comfort to you when you're feeling down, a joy to you when things aren't going right, and especially HOPE when you think all is lost. I've been there. I'm here to tell you and I pray this recording reminds you that we all struggle. We all fall. We all long for love. You are not alone in your struggles. You can, we can make it through whatever we have to. I think as you listen to this new record you'll hear about those things in my life. I wanted this record to be real and true to who I am. I hope you enjoy listening to it as much as I enjoyed making it for you.
Thank you so much for listening! Cheers to you!
Hello friends. I hope all of you are doing extremely well. I just finished my first year of grad school and have some exciting things happening. I just signed with an agent in Pittsburgh. I was most recently cast as some background characters in Netflix's new series produced by Charlize Theron and directed by David Fincher, Mindhunter! The show comes out next year. I'll be working at West Virginia Public Theatre again this year and I'm very excited about that. I'll be playing Tybalt in Romeo and Juliet and Miles Gloriosus in A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum. I'm excited to be working and putting myself out there. It's a constant struggle, but it's what I signed up for :) We're loving being on this side of the US. It's beautiful here. More than anything, it's great to have opportunities to live the dream.
I hope you all have an amazing Summer!
Fair play to the dreamers!
I hope all of you are well and that your holiday season was completely legit :) I'm moving along through my first year of grad school nicely. Sorry I haven't updated my site recently, it's been a very busy first year. I was recently cast in The Arabian Night's and we're getting ready to start rehearsals this next week. The show goes up in April. I'm going to New York in March to audition for some great theatre companies for work over the summer. Aside from all of that, I just keep plugging away.
I hope this update finds you all well and fully alive living your dreams! Feel free to drop me a line anytime to say hi.
Oh yeah...almost forgot...I'm REALLY working on new music as I get time. I hoped to release a new project at the beginning of the year, but I haven't had time to be in the studio much because of my busy schedule, BUT I will release some new tracks soon:) I'm getting excited to do that, trust me. If you'd like to check out some of my older stuff, it's available on iTunes. Don't let it sit there lonely:)
I'm excited to announce that I was just cast as Fred Graham in WVU's production of Kiss Me Kate! I feel super blessed and excited to have this opportunity. Week two of grad school is over and is going really well. I love where we live and the opportunities that keep presenting themselves.
Keep stopping by friends! I'll be posting on here more frequently. If you haven't subscribed to me on youtube yet, you should! My youtube page is www.youtube.com/rickmugrage
I've been adding videos each week of me either messing around doing crazy stupid stuff, or playing covers and original tunes. Lots of fun stuff to come, so subscribe to me:)
Cheers everyone! Don't forget to chase and catch your dream;)
I was recently hired at WV Public Theatre's Summer season:) I'll be playing Shaw Moore in Footloose and The Beast in Beauty and The Beast. I'm particularly excited about getting to play the Beast again. It's been one of my favorite shows for a long time, and I've always said I'd love the chance to play Beast again. I feel very fortunate to be a part of this theatre company. Moving away from Oregon to The East Coast was a huge step of faith for my family and I and we're excited about new opportunities and possibilities.
Rehearsals start next week!! After that, I'll begin Grad School at WVU! SO much change, but I'm very excited.
Alrighty friends, that's all for now. Hope you're doing well. Don't hesitate to drop me a line on here and say hello!
I'm excited to announce that I've accepted an offer at WVU to be a part of their three year MFA Actor Program. I just graduated from EOU and we're getting ready to leave for Morgantown, WV. on April 6th. As the date for us leaving gets closer, we've been realizing how much we'll miss all of you that we've called friends and family over the years. I just want to say thank you to all of you that have stood beside me, believed in me and have pushed me on to pursue my dreams. I'm getting ready for my farewell show at EOU in McKenzie Theater Wednesday, April 1st at 7pm. I hope to see everyone I know and love there. If you'd like to purchase tickets, they're only $5 and can be purchased at the door the night of the show, or right here on my website on the TICKETS page. Also, if you'd like to donate to my family and I's journey, you can do it here on my site by clicking on the DONATE page. I'm so thankful for all of you that have helped us along the way. It will never be forgotten. If you know us, love us and support us, drop me a line if you're ever on the East Coast and we'll go hang out:)
Fairplay to the dreamers!
Hi friends! Well, my new site is finally up! Feel free to drop me a line here anytime. I'm in the process of gathering material to perform for grad school auditions in Chicago this February. I'm super excited about the possibility of getting into an MFA program and especially excited for our upcoming move towards the East Coast this April! Thanks so much to everyone who has stood behind us, encouraging us as we've been getting ready to step out on this next adventure.
Happy holidays friends!
